On a positive note, the item was delivered sealed and in good condition, but the quality is lacking. I purchased this for the wooden tiles, but the game I received features hollow plastic tiles. To make matters worse, they’re made on a grid, and once removed, you’re left with sharp plastic tags that need to be cleared before you can safely enjoy the game. The tiles are also slightly smaller than the board squares, resulting in misaligned words. The board itself is of poor quality, with a fold that is already starting to split.
From other reviews, it appears that some customers are receiving wooden tiles and are very pleased, while others are disappointed with plastic tiles. It seems like a lottery in terms of which version you’ll get! If there are two different versions, why not list them as separate items so buyers know what to expect? I would have happily paid more for the wooden version.
I reported the misleading product description to Amazon, but it remains unchanged. There is nothing on the box to indicate the contents, so you can’t determine whether you have the wooden or plastic version without unwrapping it. This item is not suitable for gifting.
