  1. Djilly L.

My 7-year-old daughter adores this set. She jumped right in and only needed occasional assistance from her older sister. As always, the quality is what you expect from Lego. I got it on sale, so it was a great value.

  2. Mummy of Two

I must confess that I purchase a significant amount of Lego throughout the year (including Friends, Disney, Elves, Juniors, City, and now DC Super Hero Girls) because both my children and I enjoy it. I have fond memories of playing with Lego as a child, so I believe you can’t really go wrong with it. Along with receiving one of the 41068 sets to build, I’ve also bought another set, which is why the verified purchase label may accurately reflect this review.

Both of my children adore Frozen, and we also own the earlier Elsa’s Sparkling Ice Castle, as well as the newer Elsa’s Magical Ice Palace, along with the smaller sets like Anna & Kristoff’s Sleigh Adventure, Anna’s Snow Adventure, and Anna & Elsa’s Frozen Playground. The Arendelle Castle set complements these other sets wonderfully but also stands out as a great standalone option.

Regarding size: One common question might be how Arendelle Castle compares in size to the other ice castle/palace sets. I can confirm that it is larger than the older Elsa’s Sparkling Ice Castle (which included an exterior tree part and stairs in its width, making it considerably smaller) and only slightly smaller than the new Elsa’s Magical Ice Palace, despite having 477 pieces compared to the Palace’s 701 pieces (the new Ice Palace also features a large Marshmallow snowman, which accounts for some of the pieces). When placed side by side, the bases of both sets are the same size, except for the curved front sliding bridge of the new Ice Palace. The Ice Palace is also a bit taller than Arendelle, with the flip-out stairs adding a little extra width. I will include photos of the two castles next to each other soon, as I’ve recently packed away the older Ice Castle but still have its measurements for comparison. Arendelle Castle measures approximately 22cm wide, 13cm deep, and 28cm high, including the slide width.

In terms of age suitability, the set is designed for children aged 6 to 12. Aside from aligning the stickers correctly, the build is straightforward; my daughter managed to construct much of it on her own, despite being younger than the minimum age.

As for build materials, the set includes one thick instruction booklet with easy-to-follow step-by-step instructions and four main build bags. It comprises 477 pieces, plus some small additional spares, and comes with two main base boards, a slide, and a sticker sheet.

The figures included are Anna and Elsa, a buildable Olaf, and three Snowgies.

The castle itself features two main levels, with the ground floor containing a fireplace, sofa, and grandfather clock, which opens to reveal a compartment for storing ice skates. The upper level consists of Anna’s bedroom, which features a fireplace, dressing table, bed, and a door leading to Elsa’s ice room, complete with a slide down to the front courtyard. The courtyard has two frozen water fountains, a party table with two seats, a birthday cake, a present, cupcakes, glasses, and two balloon stands.

This beautifully designed Frozen set exhibits a lot of attention to detail, and I’m thrilled that Lego has finally created an Arendelle Castle set. As with most Disney Lego sets, it is somewhat pricier than similar-sized non-Disney sets, but this one is sweet and well-crafted, making it perfect for any Frozen or Disney Princess Lego fans. Both of my children enjoy playing with this set, and it is genuinely delightful to build and engage with. I managed to find it for a bit less than the main retail price of £54.99, so it’s worth watching for occasional price drops here on Amazon. Overall, this is a fantastic set.

  3. Djilly L.

My daughter, a Lego enthusiast, absolutely adores it. What else is there to mention? It aligns perfectly with other Disney Lego sets, featuring a functional design with plenty of pieces and straightforward instructions based on the ‘Frozen’ theme. The price is significant, so if you can buy it for less than retail, this is a set that any Frozen fan will cherish.

  4. Mummy of Two

This castle is absolutely adorable for reenacting classic movie scenes. It’s quickly become one of our favorite Disney princess castles due to its size, soft color palette, charming decorations, and the plethora of accessories that enhance playtime. Anna and Elsa come with new dress variants that we didn’t have before. However, the highlight of the set is undoubtedly Olaf and his little ones from the Frozen mini cartoon.

The castle features various engaging play elements, such as a cake table, a magical clock that holds skates, a lovely bedroom, and a present box. Assembling this 477-piece set took some time, but it wasn’t overly challenging. Our daughter completed it in about 1.5 hours, and I only needed to step in a few times to help with the stickers.

With the included figures and the castle’s setting, it offers tremendous play value. It’s perfect for young princesses to integrate with their other Disney Lego sets, providing hours of fun and adventures. The toy’s high quality and excellent presentation are impressive, and one of the greatest features of Lego is how it blends play with construction. This set exemplifies that.

Lego continues to be a fantastic gift option.

Very cute castle to replay iconic scenes from the classic movie. This must be one of our favourite Disney princess castles given the size, soft tone colour combinations, the party decoration and the many accessories to enhance the play value. Both Anna and Elsa wear some new special dress variants that we didn’t own yet. However the star of the set is of course Olaf and his babies from the Frozen mini cartoon.

The castle itself includes many interesting play-elements included like cake table, there is a magical clock that stores skates, a nice bedroom and a present box.

The built of this 477 piece set took a bit of time but it was not too demanding. It took our daughter 1. 5 hour and I only had to intervene a couple of times to assist with the stickers.

Given the figures included and setting the castle offers lots of play value. It is great for young princesses to combine it with their other Disney Lego sets, ensuring hours of fun and adventures. Aside from the high quality of the toy and perfect presentation, one the best qualities of Lego is that it combines, play and construction. This set is no exception.
    Lego remains an excellent gift

  6. Mummy of Two

A Lego fan daughter loves it. Whats more to say? Follows the same lines as other Disney Lego sets, a working format that provides ample pieces, easy to follow instructions on a ‘Frozen’ theme. Price plays a big factor, so if you manage to purchase at less than retail, this is a set, that any Frozen fan will love.

I must admit that I buy quite a fair amount of Lego throughout the year (Friends, Disney, Elves, Juniors, City and now DC Super Hero Girls) as both my children and I love it and I don’t think you can really go far wrong with Lego which I also remember playing with and loving when I was a child too. In addition to receiving one of the 41068 sets to build, I have also bought another set and so the verified purchase label may show correctly against this review.

Both of my children love Frozen and we also have the older Elsa’s Sparkling Ice Castle and new Elsa’s Magical Ice Palace sets along with the smaller Anna & Kristoff’s Sleigh Adventure, Anna’s Snow Adventure and Anna & Elsa’s Frozen Playgound sets. This Arendelle Castle set goes alongside these other sets brilliantly but it is just as good as a stand-alone set by itself too.

    Size:-
I think one of the main questions may be how does Arendelle Castle compare in size to the other ice castle/palace sets and I can confirm that it is larger than the older Elsa’s Sparkling Ice Castle (the older castle included an outside tree part and the stairs in its width and so it was actually quite a bit smaller) and only just a little bit smaller than the new Elsa’s Magical Ice Palace despite having 477 pieces to the new Ice Palace’s 701 pieces (new Ice Palace also has large Marshmallow snowman which takes some pieces).
If putting Arendelle Castle next to the new Ice Palace then the base of each of them is the same size except for the curved front sliding bridge part of the new Ice Palace. The Ice Palace is also just a little bit taller than Arendelle with the flip-out stairs expanding the width of the Ice Palace by a little bit too. I shall attach some photos of the two castles next to each other in the next few days if not already attached (I recently packed the older Ice Castle away when the new one arrived but I still have its measurements for comparison) to show their size next to each other.

I have measured Arendelle Castle myself and it measures approx 22cm wide by 13cm deep by 28cm high including the slide width.

    Age Suitability:-
The set is aimed at children between 6 and 12 years old and other than trying to get the stickers on straight it is a nice straightforward build which my daughter managed to build a lot of by herself and she is well under the youngest age.

    Build Bags etc:-
The set has one thick instruction booklet with easy to follow step by step instructions and four main build bags. The set has 477 pieces plus some small additional spares. The set also comes with two main base boards, a slide and a sticker sheet.

    Figures:-
The set comes with Anna and Elsa figures, a buildable Olaf figure and three Snowgies.

    Castle:-
The castle itself has two main levels with the downstairs featuring a fireplace, sofa and grandfather clock. The grandfather clock can be opened to reveal a compartment where a couple of ice skates can be stored. The upstairs has Anna’s bedroom which has a fireplace, dressing table and bed and a door leading to Elsa’s ice room which has a slide down to the front courtyard. The front courtyard has two frozen water fountains, a party table complete with two seats, a birthday cake, a birthday present, cupcakes, glasses and two balloon stands.

This is a beautifully designed Frozen set with lots of attention to detail and I love that Lego have finally made an Arendelle Castle set. As usual with Disney Lego sets they are a little pricier than similar sized non-Disney Lego sets but this is a really sweet and well-made set and perfect for any Frozen or Disney Princess Lego fans. Both of my children love playing with this set and it really is a lovely set to build and play with. I managed to pay a little bit less than the main retail price of £54.99 for the set that I also bought and so it is worth keeping an eye out for the occasional price drop here on Amazon too. This is a really lovely set.
