This product’s bricks are TINY, as are the instruction pictures. The combination makes it incredibly tricky to build and not really suitable for a child alone.

It makes you appreciate Lego – the instructions are complex, and you have hold bricks in thin air before attaching the next layer at times. They really are tricky to follow. Lots of taking it apart and starting the section again. Luckily the tool provided is effective to help do this.

That said, once you are up and running things get a bit easier!

We also found several mistakes in the instructions, (numbers of bricks required etc) and didn’t have the right number at the end for the final builds, but were able to steal other pieces to make it sort of work. Also one of the bigger pieces isn’t moulded correctly so won’t join at all. And there wasn’t a spare.

But… we do have a lovely golden retriever model at the end of it, and as my son is a dog lover we are happy (but exhausted and eyes aching). We would buy it again I think when we have recharged our energy levels and patience if they do a chocolate Labrador… Hint hint.

Got this as a gift for my wife who loves spending time building it. Keeps her busy.
Small parts so will take a while to build

This is definite not for younger kids, a lot of patience is needed as the instructions aren’t easy and the pieces can be fiddle to stick together.

But once done the item looks very nice. Took me 2 days to do (whilst doing other bits around the house) but cheaper then lego and was brought to help me deal with my stress and anxiety which did helps as it clears your mind as your focus on the job at hand.

Definitely get another set once I done my Christmas lego presents 😁

Although it is made clear in the description it would be right to say this isn’t Lego but that said it doesn’t detract from the enjoyment of building it.
All the pieces come in three separate bags which helps to identify particular pieces during the build. As you can see in the pictures against a one pence piece, some of the pieces are really very small which makes them really fiddly to pick up and place in the build. As stated in the description it’s the start of the build that is most difficult and it really does get easier as you make progress. That said the instructions are not good at all and I seriously recommend being in a well lit room and the use of a torch. I would also recommend you build it on a tray with a rim because the bricks seem to have a mind of their own and go everywhere. In addition to this I would recommend building it on a place mat turned upside down so the cork bottom is upwards to give you a non slip base, this really helps.
I built this over five days doing two to three hours a day which worked well for me and I would be surprised if anyone could sit down and do it all at once.
The final result was a lot better than I anticipated and gave me significant satisfaction.
All in all a really good purchase and result and it is now living happily in my display cabinet.
Good luck to all who buy this and enjoy the experience.
