I’ve had an Orchard game for several years, and my grandchildren adore it. So, when my new granddaughter in London turned 3, I decided to get her one as well. She hasn’t played with it yet, but I’m confident she’ll love it when she does. It’s a fantastic game for two or three little ones! Right now, she enjoys playing with the fruit and the baskets.

This was an excellent pick for this year. It’s easy enough for my 3-year-old but still entertaining for mom and dad as well!

Amazing game! I purchased it for my four-year-olds, and they absolutely adore it. We played it repeatedly on Christmas day, and there were no arguments or tears since teamwork is essential to defeat the raven. My four-year-old twins can easily play it on their own without needing any adult supervision, as it’s straightforward enough for them.

Fantastic game, was bought for four year olds and they love it, we played it over and over on Christmas day and no arguments or tears because you all have to work together to win against the raven and my four year old twins can play it just them two as it is simple enough to not need adult involvement.

This German-made board game involves 4 fruit trees (with wooden fruit to pick – blueberries, cherries, apples and pears…and place in 4 woven rush baskets, plus square picture pieces + fruit cards + dice), and with the central character – with a magnificent black crow sitting in the centre…who ‘attempts’ to steal the fruit the participants pick on the roll of the picture dice. In effect, as the participants are one united human team, there is no competitiveness between them….while the exciting tension is created by the presence of the crow. This means there is little likelihood of upsetting young players! An excellent introduction to board-game-playing for small children, such as my just 5-year-old granddaughter…for whom I bought this game on her 5th birthday. She immediately loved it!
