I purchased this calendar as a gift for my friend since we are of similar age and both recall the excitement of opening the little doors to reveal a picture and a verse inside. This calendar is stunning. Today’s youth may not appreciate it since there are no chocolates hidden behind the doors. I selected this calendar for that very reason, as it evokes fond memories of my childhood advent calendars, featuring beautiful scenes adorned with a touch of glitter. The thrill of guessing what lay behind each window was so exhilarating back then. As I write this in October, I can only hope that the images behind the windows are as classic and delightful as the calendar itself.

I bought this calendar as a gift for my friend we are similar age and remember these as kids and how excited we were to open the little door and have a picture and a little verse ( on inside of door ), I bought her one last year and the year before those loads of different designs to choose from and she loves getting one , there so pretty too.

This calendar is beautiful….youngsters today probably won’t think so as there are no chocolates behind the windows. I chose this specifically for that reason and for the memories it brings back of my childhood advent calendars….beautiful scenes with a bit of glitter. Trying to guess what would be behind the windows was so exciting back then. It’s still October as I leave this review so I’m just hoping the pictures behind the windows are as traditional and lovely as the calendar itself
