Despite our age, my sister and I have never lost the tradition of gifting each other an advent calendar. Yes, that’s right, but he will be the last Mochi I discover on Christmas Eve morning 🎄. It’s really lovely, both in the exterior design of the calendar and the selection of Mochi characters. I think it offers great value for money—it’s a wonderful gift idea for kids, teens, and adults who haven’t completely grown up. What can I say? I feel completely justified; after all, some traditions are sacred, and you can’t stop just because you’ve gotten older—maybe a bit too much, but you know what? That’s perfectly fine! I opened the Advent calendar below without pressing in the doors so it can still be used. There was white paper over the figures that I had to remove, which is still visible at the corners in the video. After taking off the paper, I immediately noticed an unpleasant smell. All the figures reek of chemicals to the point that you can hardly handle them. I’m hoping the smell dissipates by December; otherwise, the calendar is pretty much unusable. The figures are very cute and exactly as they should be. It’s actually a great calendar, but the odor is a significant drawback. The smell lingers on your hands, requiring immediate washing.

The vendor’s description, measurements, and images are accurate. You will receive 24 mochis in a calendar box as depicted. The mochis come in an advent box with an airtight, sealed inner tray. Six of the mochis glow in the dark, and only seven are not Christmas-themed. The largest mochi, shaped like Santa’s head, is twice the size of the others and is located behind box 20. At $19.99 (as of 01.08.24), they are slightly overpriced, especially since themed mochis can be purchased in bulk more affordably. However, that’s the cost of the advent gimmick. My 11-year-old daughter loves these and insists they are a great value; she highly recommends them. They would make an excellent gift for fans of these squishy characters.
