I got this through amazon warehouse so was slightly reduced on price, unfortunately it came with the second trap door obstacle loose but I am still able to play the maze, spent 4 hours or so and yet to complete to step 30. The snitch is a great addition to the perplexus range

This game is brilliantly designed and won the Toy & Game Innovation Excellence award in 2021, but its release has been limited due to the Pandemic. I own several Perplexus ball challenges and was excited to test my hand/eye coordination with this small yet cleverly crafted design, which features numerous references to Harry Potter’s Hogwarts.
The objective is to guide a ball bearing through a course of obstacles housed in a plastic sphere. In this case, it’s a smaller ball with a highly detailed and ingeniously engineered course. If you maneuver the ball correctly, the ball bearing navigates all the obstacles seamlessly. The design is impressive and filled with Harry Potter nods, including moving stairways that align perfectly as you guide the ball bearing toward them. You’ll quickly discover the best finger placements for each move, making it quite addictive.
This game is much smaller than the Perplexus Epic or Perplexus Portal, fitting in the size of a grapefruit, though it’s very lightweight. It looks fantastic on its stand, resembling a Golden Snitch with wings, and the entire puzzle is gold-colored. The route to navigate is cleverly constructed, incorporating several references from the Harry Potter films, such as the Quidditch stadium shape, a magical doorway, the rickety railway under Gringotts Bank, and the Snitch’s flight path, along with a swinging stairway used multiple times. It’s remarkable how much creativity is packed into such a small ball!
I have thoroughly enjoyed tackling this challenge. It offers a significant level of difficulty, resulting in continued satisfaction while playing. Kudos to the design team—it’s certainly a highly enjoyable game!

This is a brilliantly designed game, which won the Toy & Game Innovation Excellence award for 2021, but, due to the Pandemic, has not had a wide release. I have several Perplexus ball challenges already and looked forward to pitting my hand/eye coordination against this small and fiendishly clever design with its numerous Harry Potter Hogwarts references.
If you don’t know, the idea of the game is to guide a ballbearing around a course of obstacles contained in a plastic ball – only in this case it is a smaller plastic ball and a very detailed course, full of invention, supremely engineered – if you move the ball in the right way, the ballbearing will get around all the obstacles – it’s so cleverly done, and full of Harry Potter references, not least the moving stairways which appear to drop into place as you get the ballbearing towards them, so clever. You’ll be surprised how quickly you learn where to put your fingers for each move, and how to pace and place the ball, it’s addictive.
It is much smaller than, say the Perplexus Epic or Perplexus Portal which are a full-handful. This is like a grapefruit size, though very light. It looks great in its stand, a Golden Snitch indeed with wings, the whole puzzle is gold coloured. The route you have to navigate is very cleverly designed, incorporating a number of Harry Potter film references, including the ovoid Quidditch stadium shape, a magic doorway, the rickety railway under Gringotts Bank, and the flight path of the Snitch, as well as a swinging stairway which is used, I think, eight separate occasions. To fit so much cleverness into so small a ball is amazing!
I have thoroughly enjoyed getting to grips with it. It packs a real difficulty punch and therefore a continuing satisfaction in playing. Well done the design team. Very playable indeed.

It was smaller than I anticipated. Overall, it was disappointing! The maze is overly difficult and the quality is poor. 🙁

I bought this for my son, who is a Harry Potter enthusiast. He really enjoys it, although he finds it quite challenging. Fortunately, he’s not one to give up!

I purchased this from Amazon Warehouse at a slightly discounted price. Unfortunately, the second trap door obstacle was loose upon arrival, but I can still navigate the maze. I’ve spent around 4 hours on it and haven’t finished step 30 yet. The snitch is a fantastic addition to the Perplexus collection.
