This game has always been a favorite of mine from my childhood, so I couldn’t resist purchasing it when it was on sale to enjoy with my 4-year-old. It arrived well-packaged in a smaller box but included the same barrel and pirate. The quality is excellent; all the swords function perfectly and pop out at various times. It’s easy to store since it fits compactly in the box. The game is simple to play and teaches kids about patience, sharing, and taking turns. Overall, a fantastic purchase—5 stars!

Purchased for my granddaughter, and she adores it; it’s also very sturdy.

A classic toy that evokes nostalgia for adults while providing plenty of entertainment for the younger generations. Once the little ones grasped the concept of the game, they were on the edge of their seats, eagerly anticipating the pop-up. It also doubles as an enjoyable drinking game for adults—if it doesn’t pop, you take a shot. By the end of the game, you might find yourself either quite inebriated or nearly bursting from the excitement of the pop!

This is a fun little game reminiscent of pop up pirate. You place the Dino down and insert the chicken legs to make it pop. I’ve noticed that sometimes the Dino doesn’t go down easily; you really have to push and twist it. Occasionally, it doesn’t pop at all. So far, the bottom holes on the Dino have never made it pop for us. However, my child still enjoys this game a lot, and the fact that it doesn’t require batteries is a plus.
These are literally amazing such good quality –
Bought for a family holiday for a fun game in the evenings. Our little one thought this was hysterical! Great value for money, super easy to play!

An age old favourite toy, It brings back childhood memories for the adults and much fun for the new generations too. Once the younger children got the idea of the game they were sat on the edge of their seats waiting for the pop up.
Also has the added benefit of being a fun adult drinking game, when it doesn’t pop up you drink a shot. BY the end of the game your either very drunk or nearly wet yourself from jumping at the pop!

We love this game! It’s a fab family game! We have literally introduced this to our toddler at 3 years old, we think it’s a great one to practice turn taking for littles. We have so much fun with it and it’s a good size for little hands. I would recommend storing it in the box it comes in or in a big zipper bag to keep all the swords together! We love it, it’s brought so much joy to our household!

Push the pirate down and take it turns to drive a sword into a hole in the barrel until one of them pokes the pirate and he jumps a good foot in the air! It is purely down to luck who wins with a different hole activating the mechanism each time. It is just mechanical so no batteries are required.
Play to pop or not to pop, up to you. Good with two players but better with four for added excitement and suspense and you can play rounds. Each game takes just a couple of minutes, so you can always squeeze in a quick game if you are short on time, but promised you’d play something.
Can be used as a fair and fun decision maker if you have two or more children fighting over something!
If your children like this sort of game, try also Dino Bite (really makes you jump) or Buckaroo which has an element or skill as well. If you have a Frozen fan there is also a Pop Up Olaf version.
Great game and a good one to get out if you have family or friends over as anyone can play and it will entertain all ages.

This game has become a staple home addition for our toddler at 3. The size is great easy to transport & store at home in the box. Durability seems good so far – I think age range could vary a bit younger and a bit older but don’t know yet. Value for money for this game seems spot on.

Very good value for money. A nice funny little game. Sturdy and durable. Easy to assemble. Not too big so stores away easily.
