Game Description

In this engaging memory game, each player receives a charming hedgehog eager to dress up like its parents. The objective is to be the first to adorn your hedgehog with seven leaves that match the color of its glasses.

Gameplay

Players roll a die to determine their action:
- Pick Leaves: Draw one or two leaves from a bag with eyes closed.
- Roll a “Wind”: Choose a leaf from another player’s hedgehog.
After picking leaves, players reveal the colors:
- If a color matches their hedgehog’s glasses, they place it on their hedgehog with the matching color facing up.
- If there’s no match, the player must place it on another player’s hedgehog.
Rolling a “Wind” allows players to potentially steal a leaf from an opponent’s hedgehog.

Ending the Game

The game concludes when a hedgehog is completely decorated with leaves, typically within 10 minutes. All four hedgehogs participate in every game, allowing for fun interactions even if there are fewer players.

It’s an adorable game, but I found the quality lacking compared to my other Haba game. Aside from the die, everything is made of cardboard. We’ve only played it once, and already a piece has torn. I doubt it will hold up well for the intended age group. 🙁

The hedgehog pieces are far too fragile for a 3-year-old, particularly the glasses. They broke after just 5 games. The glasses don’t attach securely to the hedgehogs, causing them to constantly fall off, which makes it difficult for a child to reattach them. As a result, all the glasses broke very quickly.
